Decorating Your Home With Art Prints and Posters

Decorating your home doesn't have to be hard. In fact, maybe all you need are a couple of well placed art prints. A plain wall can really look boring, but having a quality framed art print on your wall can really add the needed finishing touch to create the illusion of a perfect room. Just imagine a room with a bare wall versus a living room with a large art print of a beautiful scenic image of nature like a national park, a waterfall, or maybe the Grand Canyon. Today, thanks to the Internet, in scenic art prints alone you can literally choose between thousands of art prints online and have them delivered to your door. Scenic images are available for beaches, oceans, castles, sky lines, lighthouses, meadows, rainbows, seasonal nature scenes, tropics, sunsets, and my favorite, western art.

In choosing a work of art for your home wall, you, of course, have to consider the function of the room you are shopping for and your own personality. While your teenager might want a poster of the latest movie like Pirates of the Caribbean on their wall put up with thumb tacks, you'll probably want something a bit more elegant for your living room. If you have a home library, you might want a historical piece, perhaps showcasing one of the Presidents, American history, education, or world culture fine art prints. Perhaps something by one of the great artists like Vincent Van Gogh would be fitting for your home.

Obviously the atmosphere you want to represent in your home is of key importance. If you want a western feel to your home then art featuring horses, cattle herding, canyons, wagon trains, and of course western sunsets should be right up your alley. It's all a matter of capturing your personality with the look and feel of your home.

If it's a garage or work area it doesn't hurt to add an poster of a classic car. Images of Elvis Presley, James Dean, or other classic 1950's images really go well in areas like this.

If you're a collector at heart then you might consider a vintage art print. These are considered art today, but once they were simply ads for products like soap, Coca Cola, travel, and magazines.

For the collector of entertainment related items, like movie posters and comic book characters, take note that these posters have never been hotter. Original movie posters are becoming extremely collectible. Movie posters are great for the contemporary home or family rooms.

Shopping online for art prints offers a wider selection than you can possibly imagine. There is no other logical way to shop for fine art, particularly if you are searching for a that perfect art print or poster or have an item already in mind you're looking for.

RV Water Leaks

If there is a way to get in your RV, water will find it. Water leaks on an RV can cause extensive damage and can be extremely costly to repair. When I worked at an RV dealership I saw the damaging effects that water can cause to an RV time and time again. I learned the lesson the hard way. I appraised a unit that was being traded in and didnt identify the extensive water damage, which resulted in a thousand dollars worth of repairs. Hindsight is 20/20 and I quickly learned how to inspect for, and identify potential water damage on RVs. My recommendation is that you inspect for potential water leaks twice a year at a minimum, once in the fall and again in the spring.

Every seam on your RV and anywhere the manufacturer cut a hole in your RV has the potential to allow water in. To protect your investment and your wallet take the time to REALLY inspect all of these seams and sealants. Water damage on an RV is similar to progressive damage to a tire. The outside of the tire looks fine, but the internal damage over a long period of time causes the tire to fail without any warning. The outside of your RV looks fine but the internal damage caused by water over a long period of time can result in the entire roof, floor or wall rotting away without you knowing it. Here are a few things to look for during your inspections.

Always keep safety on your mind when you are working on the roof of your RV You can be seriously injured from a fall! A reader of mine suggested that you use 2 pieces of 1/2" plywood, 2 foot by 4 foot, to move around on and spread your weight out over the roof rafters.

* To stop a leak before it starts, thoroughly inspect all roof and body seams. Consult with your RV dealer for sealants compatible with different types of roofing materials.

* Look for any discoloration and feel for any soft spots on the ceiling around roof vents, air conditioners, TV antennas, plumbing vents, and any other openings that were cut in the roof.

* Look for any discoloration or wrinkles in the wallpaper, and feel for any soft spots on the walls around all windows, doors, vents, slide outs, or any other openings that were cut in the side walls.

* Identify the location of items like the water heater, furnace, outside shower, potable water fill and city water inlet on the outside of the RV and then access those areas from the inside of the RV and look for any indications of water damage around these openings.

* Open all overhead cabinets and look in the top corner where the walls meet the ceiling for any discoloration or feel for any soft spots. This would indicate a leak at the seam where the sidewall and the roof attach.

* Check in all outside storage compartments for any indications of water leaks or water damage.

* Check for any soft spots on the roof itself especially around the roof seams at the front and rear of the RV. Thoroughly inspect all sealants on the roof around every opening.

* Some Class C motor homes are notorious for leaks in the cab over bed area. Look for any signs of discoloration and feel for soft spots. Reach under the mattress and feel for water.

* Look and feel on the outside of the RV for any signs of delaminating. Delaminating is caused by water getting between the exterior fiberglass and the sidewall. When this happens the exterior fiberglass separates from the sidewall of the RV. You can stand at the front or rear of the RV and look down the side for any noticeable ripples or what looks like a bubble. You can also press on the sidewalls. If you feel the exterior fiberglass move it is delaminating. Often times delaminating starts around where an opening that was made in the sidewall.

Dont just inspect your RV for water damage; REALLY inspect your RV for water damage. If you do this on a regular basis you can locate and repair the source of any water damage before it has a chance to do a great deal of damage. I think Ill start checking our motor home more than twice a year.

Happy Camping,

Mark

Water and Sunlight Helps to Clear Acne

Drink More Water

The skin stores around 12% water. It is important to maintain this amount with the correct amount of good fat to keep your skin from getting acne. You need to drink around 2 quarts of distilled water every day. If you are not drinking this amount, just start increasing the amount that you do drink.

Drinking water helps you get rid of toxins in the blood. By drinking water, you will urinate more and more toxins will be eliminated. The cleaner your blood the healthier your skin will be and your will not have a problem with acne.

Use glass containers when buying distilled or reverse osmosis water. Try to avoid using plastic containers for water since plastic containers contain chemicals, left in the container walls during manufacturing, which leaches out into the water.

If you are drinking fresh juices, you will also be getting water from these juices. Drinking sodas is not drinking water.

Heres a few things you do to help you drink more water or to make the water healthier. Find a 16 or 32 oz glass container and add distilled water. Then add one of the following nutrients:

* A few drops of Alkalife. This solution changes the pH of the water from 7 to 8 and also activates the water with its electrolytes sodium and potassium.

* Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the water. Do not add sugar. A few drops of honey may be ok.

* Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the water and add up to one teaspoon of powdered MSM. MSM is excellent for the skin disorders such as acne. It makes the skin cells more flexible, allowing more nutrients to go into and out of the cells, and its anti-inflammatory. MSM is also excellent in activating peristaltic action and will prevent constipation.

* Put 2 oz of mangosteen into the water. Mangosteen is an over all body tonic. It works on all parts of the body and will help keep you regular.

You can also choose to add your favorite nutritional flavor to give water an additional value.

Chose one of these natural additives for your water and drink this water little by little all day long. This is one more thing you can do to get rid of acne, improve your skin texture or to keep the nice skin you already have.

Get Some Sunshine

One more thing you can do for your skin is to get more natural light.

Expose your face to plenty of sun and air. This helps your skin to heal faster. But dont purposely place your face in the sun, but remaining in the shade and open outdoors gives you plenty of sun and air.

At least 20 40 minutes a day in the outdoors is necessary for you to get sufficient vitamin D for you daily needs.
